Launch Reception In London
On 18 March 2004, we begin our D-Day tribute with a drinks reception between 18.00 and 20.00 hours at The Dolphin Hotel, Dolphin Square, Chichester Street, London SW1V 3LX.
We shall use the reception to launch the Litchborough event and start fund raising. The evening will feature:
- Displays to tell the headline story of D-Day
- Headline story of the 13/18 Royal Hussars during the Second World War
- A selection of British and German uniforms
- Models and artefacts
- Display by the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy Benevolent Funds
- Talk on the role and services of the Benevolent Funds
- Talk by Second World War veterans
- Raffle and Auction
- Sale of souvenirs
